The short answer
Download PDFs directly from net banking for the last twelve months, for every current account, with no pages removed. Then spend three to six months routing collections through one account, keeping a visible average balance, and avoiding any cheque return.
Get the format right
- PDF from net banking, not a scan and not a photograph. Scanned printouts are frequently rejected outright.
- Twelve full months, ending with the most recent completed month.
- Every current account the business uses. Omitting one does not hide it — the credit report and the transfers in your other statements will show it.
- No pages removed. A gap in the sequence is the fastest way to attract exactly the scrutiny you were hoping to avoid.
- Bank-certified copies if net banking is not available. Allow a week.
What an underwriter is reading for
Total credits. Your banking turnover, which is checked against everything else you have declared.
Consistency. Twelve steady months read far better than one enormous month and eleven quiet ones.
Average balance. An account emptied the day money arrives suggests a business with no cushion.
Cheque returns. Inward or outward, any in the last twelve months will be asked about. Three or more usually stops the file.
Existing EMI debits. These reveal every loan you have, whether or not you mentioned them.
Round-figure in-and-out movements. Money arriving and leaving in identical round amounts looks like circulation rather than trade.
The six-month improvement plan
If a significant application is a few months away, this genuinely changes the outcome:
- Consolidate collections into one main current account.
- Push customers towards bank transfer rather than cash.
- Keep an average balance equal to roughly a month of expenses.
- Set up low-balance alerts so no cheque ever returns.
- Stop round-figure self-transfers between your own accounts.
- Clear the smallest existing EMI if you can.
None of this is presentational. It is describing a business that is genuinely easier to lend to, which is why it works.
Free, and it does not ask for your phone number.
